I've had 2 family members have terrible drug interactions under his watch. Even after being alterted to the interaction, he still told them to take their medication as usual (despite a hospital visit). He is sold out to the drug reps. There are many good doctors in Jackson and Cape; DO NOT use Pewitt.
My father-in-law had multiple life altering disease processes. He visited Dr. Pewitts' office with pneumonia and was diagnosed instead with a chest cold. No x-ray was taken in the office. He was given a cough medicine to depress his cough. He died one month later after an extended and painful stay on a ventilator. DO NOT USE THIS DOCTOR.
DO NOT GO HERE!! you won't see the dr. you will be pushed off on an NP. they will screw up the simplest of blood work. forget follow up calls. they can't be bothered with those. the staff is inept & RUDE. they make mistake after mistake and act like it's your fault. the office manager actually harassed me by phone. wait time was so long I asked for a blanket so I could take a nap. they can't even read their own patient schedules. that place is AWFUL. if you want to live, do go there.
Every time I have brought up any issues about medications or health they took a thorough look into my issues. You just have to speak up and be honest. I have never been treated with any disrespect on the phone or in their office.
My son went for knee pain, the Dr came in touched his knee and said you have gout. When my son guestioned the diagnosis the Dr informed him he was the one with medical experience. My son had a torn meniscus when he went to a REAL Dr. Do not go to this arrogant quack!
