Hard for me to say enough good things about Wib's Drive-In. From a person who has tried a TON of different BBQ, Wib's is my favorite of all time. Their homemade pimento cheese is one of the greatest things I've ever eaten. Order an OUTSIDE combination for extra flavor. Great lemonade as well. A quick jog off of I-55 and WELL worth it!
Wibs is always a great choice. Old fashioned, simple, and delicious. Cozy environment, great food, good place for families.
I do not travel very often, but when I do, I like finding gems in many forms, people, places, food, ect... Wib's Drive-In is just such a place! Their food was perfect! The sandwiches have a taste and presentation that reminds me of sandwiches that my grandparents would give me as a kid. There service was excellent! Those things, along with a clean dining area and a pleasant location that makes a person feel like they are eating somewhere special all couple together to make Wib's Drive-In a place that I could suggest to friends, as well as drive the five hours to dine at again!
What might be considered a 'Hole In The Wall' kind of place, is a Jackson tradition that goes back to WWII, or farther. Pressed BBQ Sandwiches that are unique. We like the Outside Combination Extra Hot - meat from the outside of the smoked shoulder, Pimento Cheese and extra hot sauce. Delicious! It's a must if you are in, or passing through, Jackson, MO.
